Terms & Conditions of Let
1. Rental Period - The rental period begins at
4pm on the first Saturday of the rental period and ends at
10am on the final Saturday. The property will be vacated by
the Hirer at the end of the rental period.
2. Deposit - A deposit of £200 secures your
booking, with the balance due 8 weeks prior to the start of
the rental period. The Proprietor may treat the booking as
cancelled if the balance of payment is not received by the
due date.
3. Refundable Bond - A refundable
damage/electricity/telephone bond of £100/week is required.
This will be refunded within 7 working days of
the end of the rental period; less deductions for
damage/electricity.
4. Property Condition - The Hirer shall at all
times keep the property clean and tidy. At the end of the
rental period, the property should be left in a clean and
tidy condition. Any additional cleaning that is required
will be charged for.
5.
Occupancy - The number of people occupying the
premises must not exceed the number stated for the
premises. The Hirer shall prevent any member of his party
from causing nuisance or disturbance to other residences.
6. Children – Children are very welcome.
However, customers are reminded that Juniper House has a
large, deep, feature pond in the garden, so it may not be
suitable for very young children.
7. Smoking - Smoking is not permitted inside the
house.
8. Pets - Pets are not allowed.
9. Security - The Hirer undertakes to leave the
property secure if left unoccupied during the period of the
let.
10. Heating - Fuel oil and wood are INCLUDED in the
price.
11. Bed linen and Towels – Bed linen and Towels are
provided and are INCLUDED in the price.
12. Electricity - The first £15 of electricity is
also INCLUDED. In the event that this amount is exceeded,
the excess will be charged at cost (currently approx 7 pence
per unit) and deducted from the refundable bond. The
electricity meter will be read prior to your arrival and on
your departure.
13. Breakages/Damages - Any damages, breakages or
losses beyond fair wear and tear will be reimbursed to the
Proprietor.
14. Liability and Responsibility - The Proprietor
accepts no responsibility for any loss, injury or damage to
any member of the Hirer’s party or their property, howsoever
caused, arising in any manner out of the let of the
premises.
15. Cancellation
Policy -
Cancellation more than 8 weeks before rental period:
100% refund
Cancellation 6 – 8 weeks before rental period:
80% refund
Cancellation 4 – 6 weeks before rental
period: 50% refund
Cancellation 2 – 4 weeks before rental
period: 25% refund
Cancellation less than 2 weeks before rental period:
0% refund
Holiday/Cancellation insurance is recommended.
16. Hirer’s Responsibility: It is a condition of
the letting agreement that these terms are complied with.
The Proprietor reserves the right to terminate the let if
these terms are broken by the Hirer.
